How an annotation evening unfolds
Open clinics follow a fixed rail so every seat reaches inked labels and a spoken invalidation note before we close the room.

Studio timeline
Arrival & chart brief
Collect your panel pack near the New Town Plaza entrance corridor, settle at a lacquered desk, and skim the pre-clinic degree note.
Degree refresher
Instructor opens with a short hierarchy drill. Every student writes the working degree before touching wave numbers.
Pencil drafts on panel one
Impulse and early correction labels in pencil only. Instructors circulate, challenging premature direction talk.
Ink & invalidation
Final labels move to ink. Each sheet gains a written invalidation level with a one-line structural reason.
Alternate count critique
Group review of surviving alternates. Seats defend why the secondary count lost, then pack take-home sheets.
Close
Room closes. Optional two-minute questions on personal charts if time remains; longer reviews belong in tutoring or journal appointments.
Seat capacity & materials
Open clinics hold six to eight seats. Bring a soft pencil, eraser, and optional personal charts for the closing window. Printed panels, classification cards when scheduled, and take-home packs are provided.
